Carol Stoehr1936 - 2015Carol Stoehr, 79, of Shawano, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at her home. Carol Jean was born on April 16, 1936, to the late Gertrude (Bartelt) and Edward Paiser in Gresham. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham. She graduated from Gresham High School and went on to graduate from U.W. Oshkosh, and Magna Cum Laude from Carthage College. On Aug. 4, 1956, she married Keith W. Stoehr at Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1994. Carol taught elementary school in Kenosha for many years and she went on to own and operate a business in Eagle River with her husband. In 1999, she moved to Shawano and became a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Carol enjoyed shopping and spoiling her granddaughter. She loved taking cruises and traveling with her daughter around the world, she especially enjoyed her trips to Germany. Survivors are her son, Patrick (Shannon) Stoehr of Louisville, Ky.; her daughter, Jeanne (Mike) Novak of Lake Villa, Ill.; her granddaughter, Brooke Stoehr of Louisville, Ky., and a niece.She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
