Carmen B. QuisenberryCarmen B. Quisenberry, of Champaign, IL passed away on February 12th, 2017 at the age of 99.Carmen was born on August 19, 1917, at Kirksville, MO. She is the daughter of Paul and Nell Hamilton. She married Marvin G. Smith on Dec. 25th, 1936 in Springfield, MO. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1971. She married Worth Wilson Feb. 22, 1975 in Springfield, MO. He preceded her in death in 1979. She married Lewis Quisenberry December 14, 1982 in Springfield, MO. HE preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2000.Carmen graduated from Central High School and lived most of her life in Springfield, moving with her daughter to Champaign, IL in 2011. Together with her husband Marvin Smith they owned and operated Hobart Sales Agency for many years. She was a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church in Springfield.Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Wagner, of Champaign, IL; a son, Marvin G. (Bud) Smith, (Marilyn) of Arlington, TX; a daughter, Julie Caffey (David) of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren, Jeff Pyatt (Lisa), Amy Chesser (Jamie), Jennifer Brock (George), Grant Smith (Katherine); seven great grandchildren, Emily, Joshua, Colin, Laura, Charlotte, Madeleine, Claire, Cormac. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.Arrangements will be under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, MO with interment in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield on Saturday May 6th, 2017.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made in Carmen's name to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri 3161 W.
