Carletta Diane Jackson Obituary

Oct 14, 1950 - Sep 11, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Carletta Diane Jackson was born on October 14, 1950 to Moonyeen Sylvia Johnson. She was given the name Carletta after being born in a Catholic Hospital. The name Carletta means "FREEMAN. Carletta was raised in the church and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Carletta was blessed to meet David Jackson. They married and were blessed to spend 55 years together (longer than anyone in the entire Johnson Family Tree). Carletta loved roller skating, watching her favorite TV shows and talking about her childhood. She cherished long car rides with her husband and family. She loved the holidays and cooking with her daughters, Carla mostly watched and learned, while Davonna was her sous chef; and David Jr. was always making them laugh.

Carletta always appreciated life and wanted to share that "GIFT" with others, thus leading her to become a donor. Her family made sure her final wishes were granted. Carletta was cremated after her "GIFT of LIFE" donations were completed.

Carletta was preceded in death by her sister, Addie Lee Johnson, daughter Kim, son Joseph, and husband David Sr. She leaves behind 2 daughters; Davonna Johnson Jackson, Carla Jefferson (Clyde) and 1 son David Jackson Jr. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
