Carla Cook, a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and member of the Piedmont, Alabama community, passed away on June 5th, 2023. She was born on January 1st, 1983 to her loving parents, Michael and Samantha Cook.
Carla was a ray of sunshine and brought joy to everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She had a heart of gold and touched the lives of so many people in her 40 years on this earth. Carla had a passion for education and spent much of her career as a dedicated teacher, inspiring and educating countless students over the years. She was known for her kind and patient nature, always willing to go above and beyond to help her students reach their full potential.
When not teaching, Carla enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a warm and infectious smile, and a terrific sense of humor that brought laughter and smiles to those around her. Carla genuinely loved life and found joy in the simple things, like spending time outdoors, reading a good book, or enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend.
Carla was a true gem in the community, always willing to lend a helping hand and make a difference wherever she could. Her passing has left a great void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Carla will always be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her infectious smile, and her incredible zest for life.
Carla is survived by her parents, Michael and Samantha Cook; her siblings, John Cook, Emily Cook, and Heather Cook; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Carla Cook will be held on June 10th, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Piedmont, Alabama. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10 AM until 12 PM, followed by a celebration of Carla's life at 2 PM. Carla's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
Carla will be deeply missed by all who knew her but her infectious spirit and kind heart will remain in our hearts forever.
