We are gathered here today to celebrate the life and legacy of Carl Jones Jr, who left this world on February 21, 2025, at the age of 75 in Hammond, Louisiana. He was born on August 24, 1949, to his parents Carl Sr and Sarah, who must have had a trick up their sleeves naming him after his father.

Carl was married to his loving wife Joann in 1975, and together they raised three children: Tamika, Tiffany(married to Mary), and Tyson (married to Dezron). Despite being outnumbered by women in his household, Carl managed to keep his sanity and even became a master at dodging drama.

Carl attended Hammond High School and graduated in 1968, where he was known for his charm and witty sense of humor. He then went on to work at Atmos Entergy, where he spent 40 years trying to figure out what exactly the company did. Despite his confusion, he managed to retire with a smile on his face.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Carl also served in the Army, where he was known for his impeccable ability to never find his socks and his talent for turning any situation into a joke.

Carl leaves behind six grandchildren who will forever remember his hilarious stories and his infamous dad jokes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass in his honor and share a laugh in memory of the man who always knew how to brighten a room.

Farewell, Carl. May you rest in peace, cracking jokes and making the angels laugh wherever you may be.
