Womack, Camille Always the Southern lady, Camille Womack was the epitome of graciousness and gentility. She died at peace with the Lord, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 surrounded by her beloved family, children, grandchildren and her adored husband. It was her Southern charm, her radiant smile, her kindness, her zest and love of life that will be remembered by all. Her stories, rich with detail were told with joy and the lilt of a Georgia accent. Camille was born on January 21, 1934 to parents John and Mary Myrtice Cornelius in Valdosta, Georgia, the youngest of six children. Camille married Dr. Randol Womack, her soul mate and the love of her life on October 27, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona where Randy had set up his orthodontic practice. The first of many of Camille's accomplishments, she became involved in the Central Arizona Dental Auxiliary making life-long friends and serving as its president. As a member of the John C. Lincoln Hospital Guild, Camille was the founding Chair of the Night of Gold Ball. Camille also served as the first president of the Arizona Biltmore Women's Golf Association. Camille and Randy treasured their lives together traveling the world, appreciating good restaurants, and playing golf at Arizona Country Club and Forest Highlands in Flagstaff where the Womacks owned a summer home. Motivated and hardworking, Camille used her gifts and talents to become a real estate broker specializing in residential sales the Phoenix Biltmore area. Her white Jaguar was highly recognizable when she was out showing homes. Camille was renowned for her warm and friendly entertaining expertise, always the consummate hostess. The Womack parties, sophisticated, classy and fun will be remembered by their guests forever. Tending to her gardens at both her homes was Camille's passion; she cherished nurturing her beautiful flowers and the hummingbirds who came to visit. For all her activities, career and volunteer commitments, Camille's family was most important in her life. She loved and cherished her two beautiful daughters Barbara and Pam, Randy's beloved children Megan, Steven and Christina and her eight wonderful grandchildren, and great granddaughter. Camille glowed with pride when sharing their accomplishments with others. An outstanding gourmet cook, she enjoyed cooking for others. Her family and friends would gather at the Womack home to partake in Camille's culinary expertise, the children especially loved her lasagne and spaghetti. Camille's faith sustained her throughout her life and she is now at home with the Lord. Camille was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Frank and Johnny Cornelius and two sisters, Emma Jean and Ruby Jane Cornelius. She is survived by sister, Elouise Moulton, her loving husband Randy, daughters Barbara, Pamela, Christina, Megan and son, Steven, sons-in law Mark Wix and Reid Garrey, her precious eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The celebration honoring Camille's life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm Paradise Valley United Methodist Church 4455 East Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Camille's memory to UMOM 3333 East Van Buren Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
