Broton Herr, beloved son of Jason Polk and Shannon Herr, was born on June 23, 1999, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States.
He peacefully departed from this world on December 10, 2021, due to a tragic car accident.
Broton was a loving partner to Kassy Lansing and a devoted parent to their two beautiful children, Kaesyn Herr and Brayley Herr.
Broton attended Washington High School, where he made lifelong friendships and cherished memories. He proudly graduated with the class of 2016, carrying the spirit of his Washington Warriors throughout his life.
Known for his infectious laughter and positive outlook, Broton brought joy and light to every room he entered. His quick wit and sharp sense of humor could lift the spirits of anyone around him, making even the cloudiest days seem bright.
When he wasn't busy making others smile, Broton had a genuine passion for basketball. He was always watching or playing basketball with his friends or little sister, Bradlee Herr. He was the oldest and she was the baby girl. Shannon had 6 other children after Broton. Bradie Herr, Braxten Herr, Bryan Herr, Braden Herr, Brodie Herr, and lastly Bradlee Herr.
Broton had a deep love for his little sister, he was the one of the first people to ever meet Bradlee or “boog” as he called her. He always made sure she was protected and happy. Their bond only grew stronger as they grew up. When Broton found out about his first child, Kaesyn, Bradlee was the first to be told. Bradlee is the godmother to both of his children, Kaesyn and Brayley. He even named his daughter after his little sister.
Although his time with us was tragically cut short, the impact Broton had on the lives he touched will last forever. He will be forever remembered for his contagious laughter, kindness, and the love he had for his loved ones.
Rest in peace, dear Broton. You will be deeply missed.
