FLEMING, BrockBrock Hunter Fleming, age 7, passed away on December 10, 2016 after a 7 month battle with DIPG. Brock was born on June 26, 2009. Brock was a second grader at Blackland Prairie Elementary and loved Math. He was a member of Boy Scouts Pack 304. He was the kind of kid you never forget. He had a warm smile, was very caring, and always laughing. He educated everyone on sharks, killer whales, and dinosaurs. He was considered an artist among his friends known for his killer whale drawings. When Brock grew up, he wanted to work at Sea World and train marine animals. He was happiest when he was building Legos with Mommy, wrestling with Daddy, swimming with his big sister, Jenna, watching Jurassic Park and Jaws with family, watching cartoons, or playing soccer with friends. Brock loved to travel and be adventurous. His favorites were ordering room service in hotels, riding roller coasters at Legoland, para sailing, meeting Shamu, and riding on waterslides. Brock is survived by and will be forever missed by his parents, James and Melissa Hatfield Fleming; sister, Jenna; grandparents, Hal and Brenda Stevenson, Ron and Beth Hatfield, and Gary and Francine Fleming; great grandparents, Ada Fleming and Lois Puryear; uncles and aunts, Mark Hatfield, Thomas and Stephanie Hatfield, Robby and Samantha Fleming Jewett, and Michael Raven; his best friend, Sophia Otto; and many extended family members. Brock is preceded in death by his great grandparents, James V. Fleming and Herman Puryear; and grandmother, Virginia Puryear. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dell Childrens, Texas Childrens Hospital, and Dana Farber Boston Childrens for their efforts in treating Brock and finding a cure.
