It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Peterson, beloved widow of Darrell Peterson, loving mother to Shane Duett, Amber Harrington, Brandi Morgan, Trinity Hebert, and Cole Garcia, and cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren. Brenda was born on March 23, 1962, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, to Orville Duett and Francis Sturgis.

Brenda passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 63, in Baytown, Texas. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong faith, and unwavering love for her family. Brenda found joy in spending time with her dog Molly, trying new foods and restaurants, participating in bible study, and making memories with her children and grandchildren.

Unfortunately, Brenda's life was cut short due to complications from a failed double leg amputation to remove calciphylaxis wounds, which ultimately led to sepsis. She faced this battle with grace and courage, inspiring all those around her with her strength and resilience.

Brenda's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace and may her memory live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
