AVILLA — Bobby Lee Harris, 23, of rural Avilla died unexpectedly on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 6:30 pm at his residence in rural Avilla. Mr. Harris was born on August 28, 1990 in Kendallville to William D. Harris and Jennifer (Tucker) Egly. He attended East Noble High School and had recently started work as an Independant Contractor. Bobby loved spending time with his only son, Brandon Harris. He enjoyed being outdoors 4 Wheeling, hunting, fishing, camping. He had a talent to work and fix things and enjoyed working on vehicles. He is survived by his son Brandon Harris of Butler; father and stepmother, William D. "Bill" and Kali Harris or rural Avilla; mother and stepfather, Jennifer (Tucker) and Michael Egly of Kendallville; maternal grandmother, Rose Tucker of Albion; three brothers, Casey Knox of Fort Wayne, David Gilbert of Avilla and David Egly of Avilla; and three sisters and one brother-in-law; Madison Butler of Avilla, Courtney and Joseph Lippman of Kendallville and Kiara Egly also of Kendallville. Also surviving are aunts and uncles Phyllis and Webb Pierce of Wolcottville, Lottie and John Kuehn of Fort Wayne, Patricia and Ronald Knox of Kendallville, Dawn Tucker of Auburn, Jan and Lonie Christian of LaGrange, Carey Tucker of Albion, and Chuck and Rebecca Tucker of Waterloo. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Brazzell Funeral Home, Avilla Chapel. Pastor Doug Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Christian Union Cemetery near Garrett. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. There will be additional visitation one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday. The Harris family requests memorials bemade to Brandon Harris, the family will be setting up a trust fund for Brandon.
