WHITNEY - Blanche Hiatt Hull, 89, passed away at her home in Whitney, Idaho on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. She was born on Sept. 27, 1921, in Payson, Utah, to Franklin Sylvester and Mary Ethel Tanner Hiatt. She married Clair W. Hull on Oct. 13, 1944, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They were married 57 years before dad passed away.Mom was an excellent homemaker, loving wife, and devoted mother. She, along with Dad, served honorably in the Anchorage, Alaska, mission. She fulfilled many callings in the church including: Relief Society president, Young Women president, and president of the Primary.Music and poetry played a big part in her life. She sang in a trio with Aunt Tyra and Amy Bowman. Mom loved their home and ranch up in Cub River Canyon where they raised their nine children. She was truly an example to all, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved and cherished.She is survived by six daughters and two sons and spouses, Tyra Lynn (H. Gene) Larsen, of McCammon, Idaho; LeeAnn Hull, of Logan, Utah; Jody (Brent) Sharp, Jim (Debra) Hull, Steven Hull, all of Cub River; Kristine (Brad) Hyer, Phoenix, Ariz.; Karen (Jeff) Talbot, Cub River; Beverly (JayDee) Cole, Whitney; 36 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair; a son, Kent; two grandsons, Nicholas James Hull and Connor Lorenzo Marley; three brothers, Delphin, Randall and Ferron; and five sisters, Afton, Betty, Madge, Adella and June.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at noon in the Whitney LDS Chapel, with Bishop Jeff Leonard conducting. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 S. 800 East, Preston, and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
