Bishop Haston was born on February 20, 1957 in Mobile, Alabama; he was the son of the late Rev. Alphonse Haston Sr. and Bernice Thomas Haston. Bishop Haston received his formal education at Blunt High School, graduating in 1975. After graduation, Bishop Haston, made the decision to serve his country as a part of the United States Army. On October 30,19 , Bishop Haston and Anita Hill Haston were united as one and raised their children together in Houma La. , and from this beautiful union, they were blessed with two children.
Houma where he was able to share boundless love and selfless guidance to all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his faith, community, and family, leaving an impact on the lives he touched.
Bishop John Haston was known for his exceptional leadership skills and his ability to inspire those around him in several capacities. However, it was in his role as a pastor at the Pleasantview Family Worship Center for the past 17 year is where his true essence shone. Under his compassionate leadership, the congregation thrived, and lives were transformed through the power of his divine teachings. He wholeheartedly embraced his role, shepherding his flock, and exemplifying unwavering faith, love, and humility.
Beyond the walls of his church, Bishop Haston was the Director of Bayou Black Recreation Center, where he selflessly dedicated his time and energy enriching the lives of the community. His generous endeavors uplifted and brought hope to those he encountered, truly embodying the essence of compassion and kindness.
Bishop Haston's legacy extends further as an influential mentor and source of inspiration for future generations of spiritual leaders. His Bachelors degree in theology form the Christian Bible College of Louisiana aided in teachings the word of God; and exemplary character provided a strong foundation for countless individuals who followed in his path. His impact will continue to resonate through the lives of those he influenced.
He will forever be remembered for his untiring commitment to his beloved family. As a devoted husband to Anita Hill Haston, loving father to John Haston Jr. (Chelsea M. Monica) Ruth Haston Celestine (Jamar Celestine) , and doting grandfather to Jamar Celestine Jr, Ian Celestine, Jaxon Haston, Gabriella Haston, Jordan Haston, Kayden Woods, and God daughter Sami Woods. Bishop Haston's family was his pride and joy, and his love for them knew no limits. His legacy shall live on through his children and grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory by embodying the values he instilled within them.
