Bishop Daly Pope GarnettAsheville - Bishop Daly Pope Garnett of Asheville, NC, tragically passed away on Thursday, October 5th at the age of 37.The second son of Stanford Taylor Garnett III of Columbia, SC and Leslie Pope Garnett of Mobile, AL, Bishop was born on April 12, 1980 in Aiken, SC. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University where he met his beloved wife, Katie V Morrow of Chapel Hill, NC. They were married in Valle Crucis, NC in Sept 2009. They have two children, Graceyn Elizabeth (7) and Thaddeus Whitfield (1), both of whom Bishop loved so dearly. He was employed as a consultant by B.B. Barns Garden Center & Landscaping Services until his untimely death.A true lover of music and the outdoors, Bishop preferred to be amongst the beauty and vastness of nature any time he could. Living in Asheville, he enjoyed adventuring with his daughter, mountain hikes with Katie and the kids, biking, canoeing, cooking and enjoying time with his brother and friends and family in Asheville and beyond. He was the consummate and most gracious host in any setting--as comfortable at a campground as he was a dinner party.Bishop loved and lived to the absolute fullest, always leaving an impression on those he met. He will be dearly missed by many.He is survived by his wife Katie Morrow Garnett and children Graceyn and Thaddeus; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Stanford Taylor Garnett III; his brother Stanford Taylor Garnett IV, wife Kristen Grefenstette Garnett, godson Davis Garnett, nephew Patrick Garnett.A Memorial Service will be held at St Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken, SC on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2pm with the Reverend Grant Wiseman and the Reverend Luke Lingle officiating.
