It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Jones, who was born on April 3, 1942, and passed away on October 9, 2024, in Labadieville, Louisiana.Visitation will be on Friday, October 18, 2024, at, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 808 St. Patrick St., Donaldsonville, LA from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Visitation to continue Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:00am to religious services at 11:00am conducted by Rev. Darryl L. Smith. Interment in New Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery. She was the beloved daughter of Oliver and Alberta Williams.

Betty was married to Reverend Dr. Levi Jones in 1967 and together they raised five children: Kentrell Charles, Dafinee, Paul, Joseph, and River. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren.

Betty attended Labadieville High School and graduated in 1961. She had a love for reading and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
