Betty Frances Byrd, 60, of Kingwood, passed from this life on October 8, 2014. She was born on August 13, 1954 to Russell Nolan and Elizabeth Moore Reed in Tulsa, OK.

Betty was a graduate of Edison High School in 1973. She later moved to the Houston area and eventually settled in Kingwood. Not too long after, Betty became a member of Kingwood United Methodist Church, where she became very active. Betty volunteered in many different things. Oaks of Righteousness and the Bus Ministry were two organizations that she held very near and dear to her heart. Betty touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Those left to honor and cherish Betty's memory are her son, Shea M. Byrd; brothers, David Reed and Howard Reed.
