Betty Cox-KutznerIndianolaBetty Jane Cox-Kutzner died unexpectedly on May 16th in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 62. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved so much.Betty was born on September 13th, 1954 in Sioux City, IA to Gerald Johannsen and Elizabeth Huot. Betty is survived by her son Travis Cox (wife Chrissa, children Cora and Adeline), of Longmont, CO; daughter Amanda Florez (husband Jereme, children Lilly, Sarah, and Joshua) of Des Moines, IA; sister Margaret DeWalle (Duane) of Waukon, IA; good friend Ardith Schwery of Indianola, IA; ex-husband and friend Ed Cox of Des Moines, IA; and nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Gerald Johannsen, step-father Hubert Huot, mother Betty Huot, brother Dennis Johannsen, sister Marie Huot, and loving husband Dale Kutzner.A funeral is scheduled for 11:30 am at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 1800 Bell Avenue, Des Moines. A gathering of friends and family will follow at 1:30 pm at Amanda's house. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty's life.
