Betty A. Wagter 79 of Yuma, Az, loving wife and mother, died Sunday morning June 12, 2011 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 12, 1931 in Madison, NB. Betty graduated from Madison High School and attended Business College. She met her beloved husband, Ed Watger, in Omaha, NB. They moved to Yuma in 1980. They would be celebrating their 61st anniversary in October 2011. Betty was active in Welcome Neighbor and an avid bowler. She volunteered at yard sales at her church, Trinity Methodist, and was always hosting gathering at her home. Betty is survived by Ed and her four children, William Wagter of Los Angeles, Ca, Johnnie (Stella) Wagter of Riverside, Ca, Cookie Wagter of Yuma Az, Janelle (Ron) Pease of Lancaster, Ca and her brother Richard (Sandy) Goering of Los Angeles, Ca; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her father, mother and older brother. A celebration of her life is planned for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 18, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
