Bethanie Lynn Gasperson, 33, of Holiday Shores, formerly of Litchfield, passed away on Sun., July 23, 2017 at 1:30 a.m. in Glen Carbon. She was born on Oct. 25, 1983 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of Michael Ray & Kathy Lynn (Watts) Skinner. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 2002. She went on to the University of Illinois where she obtained her B.A. in Industrial Design. Bethanie was a Design Strategist for Nestle – Purina Corp. (headquartered in St. Louis) since 2006. There she served as Team Leader of several projects and was responsible for the certification of 5 U.S. patents. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Litchfield & attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edwardsville. While her passions included photography, painting, sketching, & traveling, her dreams were to open a lighting studio and write a children's book. She enjoyed being near the water, taking walks & being outdoors. She married Shaun David Gasperson on June 24, 2011 at the Villa Marie Winery in Maryville, IL. He survives. She is also survived by her parents: Mike and Kathy Skinner of Litchfield; two sons: Carrick and Sonny Gasperson of Holiday Shores; one stepson: Drake Gasperson; one stepdaughter: Alexandria Gasperson, both of Litchfield; two brothers: Chad (Valerie) Skinner of Glen Carbon and Austin Skinner of St. Louis, MO; one sister: Jasmine Skinner of Mt. Olive; a Mother-in-law: Paula (Jeff) Grider of Staunton' a father-in-law: David (Cindy) Gasperson of Woodburn; a maternal grandfather: Glen Watts of Litchfield; paternal grandparents: Raymond (Helen) Skinner of Cairo, MO; a paternal great-grandmother: Anna Beth Thomure of Moberly, MO and nieces and nephews: Beckem, Madison, Declan, Max & TuckerShe was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Esther L. Watts; maternal great-grandparents, George and Merle Watts and Lawrence and Lucille St. Cin; paternal great-grandparents, Edward and Marjorie Schumann & Bill Skinner.Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be said Thurs., July 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield. Fr. Dan Willenborg & Very Rev. James L. Neuman, V.F., will preside. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 – 7 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield. Memorials may be directed to: Benefit of Bethanie Gasperson.
