Bertha F. GarrisonCHILLICOTHE: Bertha F. Garrison, 94, of Chillicothe died at 8:21 p.m. on October 7, 2016 at Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born on October 31, 1921 in Greenup County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William F. and Virgie Allen Justice. On April 14, 1940 she married Russell H. Garrison who preceded her in death on December 8, 1984. She is survived by four sons; Jerry E. (Cindy) Garrison of Chillicothe, James R. (Barbara) Garrison of Frankfort, Dennis R. (Marilyn) Garrison and Merle D. (Lois "Pete") Garrison all of Chillicothe, seven grandchildren; Anthony "Tony" (Angie), Christa (Cory), Kelly (Todd), Dennis "Denny" (Melinda), Tammy (Danny), Tricia, Bradley "Brad" (Holly), thirteen great grandchildren; Lauren, Justin, Kasey, Aricin, Reagan, Seth, Ashleigh, Daniel, Logan, Kali, Lilly, Reagan and Reese and one sister; Christine Peters of Circleville. She was preceded in death by five brothers; Clarence, Everett, Elmer, Edward and Glen and three sisters; Monnie Virgin, Dorothy Hyer and Betty Lee. Bertha was a member of and held various offices within the Dry Run United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women since 1940. She was a past member of the Farm Bureau, Couples Club and Grange organizations. She was employed by the Adena School System for seventeen years. Bertha was totally devoted to and cared greatly for her family and friends.A funeral service wiIl be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Dry Run United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Caddell and Rev. Michael Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends can visit with Bertha's family on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort and a half hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
