Bernibelle Runnels1941-2016Bernibelle "Bernie" Rose Runnels age 75 passed away in her sleep with her family by her side on November 3, 2016 due to cancer. Bernie was born on May 10, 1941, to parents Cooper & Ethel Brown in Brownwood, TX, by Dr. Brown in Brownwood Hospital in Brown County. She was the 4th of 5 children. She was a beautiful woman, and starred in a TV commercial for a donut shop. She loved sewing clothes and dolls and enjoyed playing penny slot machines. She was a dedicated caring woman and always had a smile on her face.Bernie met Leo Runnels, at the age of 17, got married and never left each other's side. She spent many years raising children and then joined alongside her husband for over 20 years to work. They both had a lifetime together most people dream about. They loved each other deeply and continuously shared all they had and would constantly help others in need. Bernie was preceded in death by her son Timothy Runnels and is survived by her husband Leo Runnels, four children: Mark McCoy, Craig Runnels, Jackie Martinez, Sherrie Bush, 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 more great grandchildren soon to be born. Bernie believed in Jesus Christ and would unashamedly share her love for Him with others. As family we find solace she has a new body with our Lord in heaven and has been reunited with her son Tim, and we look forward to the day we will all reunite again. We love you Memaw!
