Cook, Bernard R.Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed so very dear….Bernard R. Cook, 88, of Warren Center, Pa passed away on Sunday morning, April 2, 2017. "Edie," as he was affectionately known by his family and many friends, was born on May 31, 1928 in West Warren, Pa- a son of the late John Tyler and Aline (Beckwith) Cook. He was a graduate of the LeRaysville High School and proudly served his country with the US Army. Edie enjoyed hunting, bird and nature watching, and tending to his blueberries ~ although his greatest pleasure was kidding with his family and always carrying a smile. Those left to cherish is memory are his children: Robert and Monica Cook of Jacksonville, Fla; Julie Cleary LaMont of Owego; Dale and Karen Cook of Gales Ferry, CT; Philip and Michelle Cook of Endicott; his grandchildren: Sarah Cook, Jonathan Cook, Eric and Kristen LaMont, Heather and Jordan Purvis; Gabrielle Horton, Mallory and Devin McCallum; Madeline Cook; a great grandson Malikai Miller; his sisters Carol Cook and Alice Brown. Many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Bernard was predeceased by his parents, his brother and friend Ronald and wife Joanne Cook; a brother-in-law Joseph Brown; and a nephew Randy. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, April 8th from 10am to 12pm at the Warren Center Independent Baptist Church: 79 Coburn Hill Rd., Warren Center, PA. A memorial service and celebration of his life will follow at 12 pm with Pastor Larry Jennings officiating.
