Benjamin P. "Ben" Klotzer, 30, of Ellington, formerly of Coventry, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Ben was born on June 24, 1986 in Manchester, loving and thoughtful son of Jeffrey and Linda (Worthington) Klotzer of Coventry. He was raised in Coventry and was a graduate of Coventry High School, Class of 2004. Ben earned a Bachelor's Degree in English from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2009. He was employed as a slotter for C&S Wholesale Grocers in Suffield for the past five years. People who knew Ben loved his dry wit and sarcastic humor, and often referred to him as a music and book "Snob". He was well known at Dunkin' Donuts where they automatically handed him his "eight and eight" iced coffee. He enjoyed hiking local trails with his best friend, Jay, his rescue dog. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Dr. Jessica Bowden, Capt. US Army and her husband Travis Bowden of Elizabethtown, KY, his paternal grandmother Marilyn Klotzer of Manchester, his uncle Douglas Klotzer and his wife Mary, his three aunts; Kathi Chasse, Nancy Troiano and her husband Gino and Susan Columbus and her husband Ronald, numerous cousins, and his dog Jay. Ben was predeceased by his paternal grandfather William Klotzer and his maternal grandparents Wallace and Margaret Worthington. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester from 6-8 pm.
