Benjamin David Russell lll, known affectionately as Benny, passed away on October 20, 2024, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 21. Born on July 18, 2003, in New Hope, Pennsylvania, Benny grew into a spirited and loving individual, cherished by all who knew him.

Benny graduated from Council Rock High School South, where he formed many lifelong friendships. His career in highway construction was a testament to his hardworking and diligent nature, contributing significantly to the infrastructure of his community.

Those who knew Benny remember him as the life of the party—a pure soul with a gracious heart. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, embodying a spirit of generosity and kindness. His family believes that Benny would prefer his life to be celebrated rather than mourned.

Benny is survived by his parents, Benjamin Russell II and Ashley Russell; his siblings, Nicole (Fleet) McBride, Leah Russell, and Matthew Russell; his brother-in-law, Tyler McBride; his nephew, Jaxon McBride; and his grandparents, Karen and Benjamin Russell I. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lois and William Barton. Besides immediate family, he leaves behind many cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Groff-High-Eckenroth Funeral Home in Holland, PA, on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family invites all who loved Benny to join in celebrating his remarkable life.
