Beatrice, 61 was born to the late Frank and Mattie Sue Glass on September 23, 1957. She graduated from Columbus Technical Institute with a degree in Engineering Technology, entering into the engineering field in the 1970s, as a young vivacious black woman. Although, she faced racism and sexism in college, Beatrice was the only female in her graduating class, in which, she later became a successful engineer and was well trusted by her colleagues. She loved what she did and took pride in her work.

Known to many as "Bunchy", has been an inspiration to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She has had an incredible influence on their current and future success.

Beatrice is preceded in death by grandparents John and Beatrice Glass, and siblings Frank and Karen Martin.

Beatrice is survived by children La Shonda McConnell and Christal Harris, life partner Herman Harris, siblings MaryAnn, John F. , Michael, Ray Glass and Leslie Willis, grandchildren Malik and Mykel McGill, Myecia Glass, T'yana and Briana Wooden, .  Special nieces and nephews Venitra, Stanley and Ghermaine Glass, Naquan Saunders and Michea Chavis. 3 great grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
