Barbara Louise Smith was born August 11, 1937 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad. She attened Baptist church of her youth and opera houses around the world. She lived a wonderful life and she was loved all over the world. She died at age 79 which is a young age to die. She recieved her education from The University of Texas at Austin. She entered UT in 1956, which was the first year in which African American students were admitted. With my auntee amazing, outstanding talents she had got the role in the University's 1957 of Dido and Aeneas.
She was a hard worker who loved working with other people, loved kids and loved life. Barbara Smith departed this life Monday 22, 2017 died in New Jersey due to unknown causes, "but a cousin of Conrad declared that she had advanced Alzheimer's disease." Barbara Smith had established a private studio as well as offering artist residencies and master classes. She also was a co-founder of the Wagner Theater for young kids that wanted to act. At the moment Barbara Smith didn't have any closest surviving relatives other than her cousin that suspected her death. Barbara Smith funeral will be held at Texas, State Cemetery.
One of Barbara Smith famous line is, "Music is a great healer and a great bomder." "It just transcends everything." Barbara Smith was also granted the Texas Medal of Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement and the History-Making Taxan Award.
