Barbara Jean Hansen, 79, of Marysville, WA died October 12, 2013 at Providence Hospital. Barb was born on July 6, 1934 in Everett. Mom lived the last 49 years in Marysville and was looking forward to moving back to Everett where she had spent the first 30 years of her life, graduating from Everett High in the class of 1952. After retiring from Safeway, Barb was able to travel throughout the world with her husband, Howard C. Hansen, until his death. She loved and cherished all of her grandchildren and great grandson. Barb couldn't wait for springtime so she could cheer on her Mariners! Barb is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Hansen and Judy Riozzi (Gary); grandchildren, Ryan Hopp (Emily), Shawnna Turpin (Travis), Kassandra Riozzi, Krista Riozzi; and great grandson, Kobe Turpin. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hansen; sisters, Gretchen Norrish and Minnie Lind. A very special thank you to Angie Mardesich and Terry Warner for all your help with Mom. As per Barb's request, services will be graveside on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 at Evergreen Cemetery, 4504 Broadway in Everett with a reception to follow.
