Barbara G. Huffman, 82Muncie - Barbara G. Huffman, 82, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017, following a brief illness. She was born on February 6, 1935, in Chicago, the daughter of David Gordon and Mary Iona (White) Myers. Barbara attended Muncie Central High School and later married the love of her life S. Lee Huffman on June 14, 1952, and he preceded her in death March 27, 2014. Mrs. Huffman had worked for Central Manufacturing as a machine operator for several years and while there had become the union president. Mostly, she had been a homemaker and was a member of the Selma Christ United Methodist Church, having served on the funeral dinner committee making pies and desserts. Barbara also had served on the Liberty regional Waste Sewage Board for 20 years. Barbara and Lee co-owned a craft shop in Metamora for several years and carried their own line of products under the Bar-lee Bear Label. Mrs. Huffman enjoyed sewing and cooking. She specialized in making sugar crème pie and pound cake. Spending time with her family was very precious to her. She is survived by two sons, Rick Huffman (wife-Cindy), Parker City and Bruce Huffman (wife Belinda) Parker City; four grandchildren Kyle Huffman (wife-Yuri), Sand Point, Idaho, Jared Huffman (wife-Kelly), Centerville, Ohio, Meghan Huffman ,Parker City, Candice Kiser (husband-Brandon), Parker City; six step grandchildren; Tony Hughes (wife-Heather), Mooreland, Danielle Thompson (husband-Scottie), Fairfield , Ohio and Joseph Gabbard (wife-Emily), Greenfield, Jeffrey Riggin (wife-Heather), Farmland, Jennifer Earhart (husband-Jay), Farmland ;eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Janith Furry, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.Besides her husband of 62 years, Lee, she is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Beverly Ball, Elaine McGunegill, and June Tolle.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Rush officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time.Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Services of East Central Indiana (Little Red Door) 2311 W.
