Barbara Goode nee Mitchell, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away on June 8, 2025, in Willingboro, New Jersey, United States. She was born on November 4, 1939 in Norton, Virginia to Baylor C. Goode I and Harriette K. Goode.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, Phillip I. Mitchell and Douglas Mitchell. She was also a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and her brother Baylor C. Goode II.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Baylor I and Harriette Goode, her siblings; Phillip G. Goode, Minnie Jeanette Neeley, Theodore I. Goode Shirley Patton Collins, Eleanor Sophronia Goode and her eldest son Harold Mitchell Jr

Barbara attended Southside High School and graduated in 1957. She went on to work at Masonic Home of New Jersey in 1986 where she dedicated many years of service before retiring in 2012 as an Environmental Services Supervisor.

Barbara loved the holidays, especially the 4th of July and Thanksgiving. She always cooked a feast and invited everyone to come and enjoy. She also loved playing video games well into her 70’s. She said it kept her feeling young.

Barbara was kind, loving and generous. She was the Anchor of the family.

Barbara's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
