Aumont Pierre Friday (Omar), son of Archie Friday and Edith Lawrence, was born November 28, 1963, in Morristown, New Jersey. Aumont departed this world to be with our heavenly Father in Paradise on January 4, 2018.
Aumont grew up in Morristown where he attended the Morris School District. Graduating from Morristown High School in 1982.
Aumont had a passion for cooking and that passion for cooking led him to work as a chef for many years at Fairleigh Dickinson University and eventually at The Nevele Hotel in upstate N.Y.
Aumont had a deep love for his family as well as old music, dancing and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed singing and wrestling with his grandson's. He could easily put a smile on your face with either his humor or just being his silly, goofy self. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things life had to offer.
Aumont moved to Jersey City, N.J. in 2000 where he met the love of his life, Darlene. The two of them moved to New York in 2004.
Aumont is predeceased by his Father Archie Friday, Mother Edith Lawrence, Sisters Margaret Lynn Doster, Deborah (Debbie) Friday, Jackie Taborn and Nephew Eugene Friday.
Aumont leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Michelle Friday of Ellenville NY and Lee-Ann Tolliver of Morristown, two sisters Mamie Friday of Morristown, Kizzy Henderson of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Four grandchildren Jazmyne Ward, William Cook, Azaria Cook, Achilles Cook-Danoy, and Leon Cook his companion of 17 years Darlene Douglass, three godsons Walter Sims, Ian Titus and Quandell Dobbs and host of other relatives and friends.
