Augustus " Al " Stracener passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 94 in Marshall, Texas. He was born on March 18, 1933, to William B Stracener and Letha Stracener.Al is survived by his partner, Carolyn Stracener, son an Don Stracener, Sister Ann Grosso and several grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Al attended Gilmer High School and served in the Navy. In his free time, he enjoyed playing in his country western band, where he showcased his skills on the guitar, fiddle, and as the lead vocalist.

Al will be remembered for his love of music, his jovial spirit, and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
