Waymeyer, AugustAugust Waymeyer, 48, of Oshkosh passed away in his home on January 4, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Augie was born on July 2, 1968, to Leonard and Suzanne Waymeyer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked in the print industry for most of his career and most recently at Quad Graphics, where he served as a lead pressman. On October 17, 2014, Augie married Kay Haecker of Oshkosh in an intimate gathering of their closest friends.Augie was a devoted father and caring husband. He loved to read and was always learning new things. He played golf, loved to travel, and always felt at home in nature. Augie played darts for Screwballs Sports Pub and was a grill master who enjoyed having friends and family over for cookouts. He loved working with his hands and was skilled at many things, most recently applying those abilities to building and reconstructing guns, as well as shooting at the range.Augie is survived by his beloved wife Kay (Haecker) Waymeyer and his precious children: daughter Alexandra Waymeyer and her son, Oliver; daughter Chrissie (and her husband Michael) Stevens and their son, Jaxson; son William Waymeyer; and stepdaughter Hailey Elizabeth-Ann. He is also survived by his father Leonard (and his wife Erene) Waymeyer; his mother Suzanne Waymeyer; and his brother Matt (and his wife Julie) Waymeyer and their children Jessica, Caleb, Courtney, Jacob, and Zachary.A memorial service for August will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 14 at Kornrad-Behlman Funeral Home located at 100 Lake Pointe Drive in Oshkosh, with his brother, Pastor Matt Waymeyer, officiating the ceremony. Afterward, friends and family are invited to a gathering at Witzke's Bar at 1700 Oregon St. in Oshkosh.
