ANNA — Audley D. Whitt, age 86, of Anna, passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at St. Rita Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on May 28, 1930, in Ransom, Kentucky, to the late Charles Evans and Virginia Gardner (Alley) Whitt. On Sept. 1, 1953, he married Mary Williams. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1998. Audley then married Donna McBride on July 21, 2001. She preceded him in death on Aug. 20, 2011.

Audley is survived by two children, Todd Whitt, of Botkins, and Mary Darlene Whitt (Jim) Roberts, of Gulfport, Florida; grandchildren, Heidi (John) Michael and Rhonda Whitt, Kristen Whitt and Kaitlin Whitt; great-grandchildren, Tyler Michael, Lillian Michael, Isabelle Michael and Brennan Whitt; and one sister, Drema (Whitt) Kindler of Foster, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, six brothers and one son, Craig Evans.

Audley was a member of Church of Christ in Anna. He was employed at Copeland Corporation for 50 years and nine months before retiring in 2004. While there, he was a hi-lo operator in the shipping and receiving department. Audley enjoyed spending his free time doing yard work and gardening; but most of all, spending time with his family.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders with Mark Stowe officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the service at the Franklin Township Hall.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Sidney.
