With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Atha Sanders of Marionville, Missouri. She was born on April 30, 1932, to Gene and Mable Harmon. Atha passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 92.
Atha was the beloved wife of Harold Sanders for 75 years. Together, they raised four children: Paulette Edmonson (Charlie), Sara Lynn Sanders(deceased), Janet Clines (Jackie), and Rebecca Redwing (John). She was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren: Dana Murry, Aaron Edmonson, Bruce Banks, Jason Banks, Julie Rabourn, Emily Gamble, Jaqueline Mays, Johnna Pearce, Preston Redwing, and Jami Redwing.
Atha attended Hurley High School and graduated in 1950. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, and farming. Atha's sense of humor and quick wit brought joy to all who knew her.
She will be remembered for her delicious meals, impeccable sewing skills, and green thumb. Atha's love for her family was unmatched, and she will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to the local 4-H Club in Atha's memory.
Atha Sanders may have left this world, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
