Ashten Saeger Obituary

Nov 06, 1986 - May 02, 2017

This obituary is administered by:
Saeger, AshtenAshten Lee Saeger, of Sobeski, formerly of Pulaski, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Ashten, the oldest of three children, was born on November 6, 1986 in Green Bay to Carl and Brenda Treankler. She married Richard "Rick" Lee Saeger on May 10, 2016 at Dromoland Castle in Co. Clare, Ireland, in a ceremony fit for a princess. Ashten attended Pulaski High School, before graduating from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2009. She then went on to receive her Master's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2013. Ashten was raised amongst several family businesses, encouraging her own entrepreneurial spirit. Her and Rick own and run, Coex, in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was also an active member in the community and served on the Board at Directors at Acts 1:8 Ministry in Green Bay, while also strongly supporting the American Cancer Society, RYLA, and the Green Bay Rotary. Ashten was celebrated for her curious and loving spirit, as well as her warmth, sensitivity and sense of humor. She was an incredible chef and wine connoisseur, as well as wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She was beautiful inside and out, and that showed through as she started to bestow her wisdom on her two-beautiful step-daughters. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved labradoodle, Cashen. She grew up with the desire to travel the world, and she did just that - most notably Ireland. She was very active and loved being outdoors, whether that be golfing, boating or snowmobiling. She touched so many lives, and was involved in so many areas of the community that this content does not begin to describe who she was. Her love of Christ and the love of others motivated her to be an organ donor. Her legacy will live on in her recipients, both locally and nationwide. Ashten is survived by her husband, Rick Saeger; step-daughters, Lauren and Elsie Saeger; parents, Brenda Treankler of Hobart and Carl (Michelle) Treankler of Houghton, MI; sister, Erin Treankler of Seattle, WA; brother, Brock (Kylee) Treankler of Green Bay; grandparents, Donald Herms of Cecil and Melvin and Maryann Treankler of Hobart, and father in law, Bruce; mother in law, Deb (Craig) Johnson; brothers and sisters in law, Shana (Luke) Gliniecki and Chad (Desirae LaFortune) Saeger well as many other family members and friends. She lives on in the hearts of all she touched. Ashten's grandmother, Doris Herms and aunt, Lisa Treankler preceded her in death. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Drive. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Vernon Heim officiating. The burial will take place at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Ashten's family on her tribute page at www.lyndahl.com. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during the past week in the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Acts 1:8 Ministry, 2145 S. Oneida St, Green Bay, WI 54304, or Camp Luther, 1889 Koubenec Rd, Three Lakes, WI 54562.
