Mr. Armando (Mando) Salazar passed away at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas on October 30, 2016 at 5:05 pm. He was 73 years-old. Mando is survived by his wife, Joyce Lee (Boyd) Salazar; daughters, Michelle Salazar Martinez (Ivan), Monica Lorraine De Leon (Jose), and Jacqueline Salazar; grandchildren Adan Armando Salazar (Jessica), Christopher Jacob Martinez, Analicia Yvonne Martinez, Lauren Ester Martinez, Noelle Angeline Salazar and Aleksei Quintero; great grand-daughter, Avery Marcela Salazar; and siblings Ofelia Duran (Paul), Willie Salazar (Alma), Consuelo Chavez (Norman), Ruth Lopez (Daniel), Eva Scott, Sam Salazar (Elisa), and Freddy Salazar (Nena); and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Federico Sr. and Rosa (Moreno) Salazar, and siblings Hortencia Reyes, Roberto Salazar, Federico Salazar Jr., and Hector Salazar Sr. Mando was born on July 8, 1943 in El Paso, Texas. He attended Bowie High School and spent most of his career in the auto transport industry, working for Auto Convoy, Hadley and other companies over the years. He retired from Taco Bueno, where he had worked as a top-performing store manager. He was a devoted and loving husband and father, and instilled in his children a love of life and family and the values of honesty, integrity and strong work-ethic. A memorial celebration is scheduled for 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Grace Chapel, 7601 Wilcox Dr. in El Paso, Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mando's life.
