Arcola Reed WeaverArcola Reed Weaver was born on June 23, 1930 to the late Jewel and Lentteen Etter Reed of Union Church, Mississippi. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was united in holy matrimony to MC Weaver on November 22, 1948. To this union, three sons were born, Melvin, Cordell and Amir. Arcola was a faithful and devoted member of the Anderson United Methodist Church. She was affiliated with the Anderson United Methodist Church Women, the Golden Agers and founded the Food Pantry program at Anderson United Methodist Church.Arcola leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband, MC Weaver, three sons, Melvin (Johnnie) Weaver and Cordell Weaver of Jackson, Mississippi and Amir (Vanessa) Saleem of Baton Rouge, La.; one sister-in-law, Minnie Taylor; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends; Special extended family, the children and grandchildren of her late devoted friend, Connie Jenkins and the St. Joseph B.C. family all of Plaquemine, Louisiana.Religious services will be as follows: Family hours, Thursday March 2, 2017 at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, 6pm to 8pm. Public Viewing will resume on Friday March 3, 2017 at 10:00 am with Funeral Services immediately following at 11:00 am at Anderson United Methodist Church on Hanging Moss Road in Jackson, Mississippi.
