Antionette Peterson , beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on September 13, 2024, in Detroit Michigan , surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born on February 26, 1948, to Mildred and Author Peterson in Birmingham Alabama, Antionette grew up in a close-knit family where she learned the values of kindness, compassion, and hard work. She attended East high school in Buffalo New York, then she proceeded to live with grandparent's Mildred and Booker T Higgins in Detroit Michigan, where she attended Grays high school.Antionette had an extraordinary ability to connect with children, fostering a love for learning that shaped the lives of thousands of people . Her house was a place of creativity, laughter, and encouragement, and her impact was felt long after her friends moved on.

Outside the community , Antionette was known for her love of gardening and her beautiful flower beds, which brought joy to all who passed by her home. She was also an active member of Catholic Church community, where she volunteered her time with the outreach program, helping those in need. Her unwavering faith and dedication to service were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.Antionette is survived by her three children, Kimberly Peterson (Kim ), Carlita Collier(Lita), and Denise Collier(Nee); her ten grandchildren,Tiquana,Divionda Shancee,Jeremey,Anthony,Markees,Deja,Nya,Kamonte,she also has 9 great grandchildren Nova,Kaden Patrick Jayden Harmony Symphony Kamora Kimora Jamie’s She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother,

A funeral mass will be held in Antionette honor on Friday, October 04, 2024, at 2-6 at Verheyden Funeral Home 7100 Michigan & Cecil. Friends and family are invited to a reception at the church hall immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Verheyden funeral home in Antionette name, Antionette will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of family, and her commitment to making the world a brighter place, one day at a time.
