With profound sadness and everlasting love, we announce the passing of our beloved child, Anthony Louis Gatechair, on May 30, 2026, at the age of 27.

Born on January 23, 1999, in Evanston, Illinois, Anthony touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a precious gift.

Anthony attended Evanston District 65 and 214 schools where he graduated in 2021. Anthony enjoyed school activities, music, and time with family. Despite facing unique challenges, Anthony's presence brought comfort, happiness, and unconditional love to family, friends, caregivers, teachers, and all who shared in his journey.

Anthony is survived by parents' Louis (Christina) Gatechair, siblings' Javaunt, Robert, Samuel, Grandfather Terry Gatechair, aunts, uncles, a host of cousins, family friends, and a community of loved ones who were blessed to know and care for him. He was preceded in death by his mother Christine Jones, Grandparents Mary Gatechair, James Bowen Jr., and Dorothea Jones.

We are deeply grateful to the support staff who provided compassionate care and support throughout Anthony's life.

Though our hearts ache with loss, we take comfort in knowing that Anthony's love and light will remain with us always.
