It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annie Helems, who was born on June 5, 1951 and peacefully left us on May 15, 2024 in Washington, Washington, D.C., United States.
Annie lived a vibrant life filled with passion and a love for adventure. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Annie had a deep love for nature and could often be found exploring the great outdoors, whether it be hiking in the mountains or relaxing by the ocean.
She was known for her love of music, particularly jazz, and enjoyed attending concerts and music festivals. Annie had a keen eye for art and was a talented painter herself, creating beautiful works that captured the essence of the world around her.
She was a member of Hartzell Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Gaither.
Left to cherish her memories is her sons Charles Helems, Greg Gaither, Rodney Gaither; Daughters, Pam Helems and Stella Helems; Grandchildren, Scottie Gaither, Simone Gaither, Sherita Gaither, Rodney Gaither Jr.
Services will be private. With special appearances and host from her granddaughter Simone Gaither .
Annie may be gone from our sight, but her spirit will live on in all who were fortunate to know her. A life that touches others goes on forever.
Annie's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
