Anneliese Elsie BrownMANSFIELD: Anneliese Elsie Brown, 90, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 surrounded by her children. Anneliese was born on June 7, 1926 in Nuremburg, Germany. It was there, during WWII, that she met her husband, the late Sidney Brown who was an American soldier. They married on February 28, 1948 and made their home in Mansfield where they had 5 children and enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Anneliese was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed the simple joys of life - family, reading, listening to music, watching old movies, shopping and sitting on the porch on a beautiful day. Anneliese is survived by her children: Thomas (Jennifer) Brown of Shelby, Diana (Larry) Diglaw of Lexington, Brenda Brown, Bruce Brown, and Brian Brown, all of Mansfield; grandchildren Anya (Bob Farley) Todd, Dustin Brown, Dylan Todd, Anneliese (Matt) Sickmiller, Derrick Diglaw, Emily (Brad) Bowman, and Jason (Melissa) Diglaw and step-grandchildren Tyler Extine, Trevor Extine and Tiana (Justin) Westbrook; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Anneliese was preceeded in death by her husband Sidney in 2007.Her family will receive friends Friday, December 2, 2016 from 10 am-12 pm in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 12 pm.
