Anne Foster-Osei of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on January 3, 2025, with her son by her side, at the age of 71. Born on May 28, 1953, to the late Robert and Dillie Foster. Anne was the youngest sibling of 12 blessed children. She was an active member to Pine Grove Baptist Church in Yantley, AL for many years. She graduated high school in 1970 and went on to graduate from Jefferson State University in 1972 with an associate's degree in criminal justice. Eventually, Anne moved to Joliet, IL in 1973 and was a Correctional Officer for Statesville then migrated to Virginia in 1976 transferring her service to the Department of Corrections for some years. While in Virginia, Anne became a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and met her late husband Paul Osei in 1977. Anne was known for cooking southern homemade meals, being a helper to many and singing. She loved Aretha Franklin and was always a strong-willed woman to overcome obstacles in her way. The greatest love she had was for God and serving him in any way she could. Her spirit and compassion will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Anne's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
