In Loving Memory of Angela W. (Angel) Drummond 1960-2023
Angela Drummond (Angel) departed from her family on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023. She was born May 9th 1960 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She She was the daugther of Wilbert II and Josephine Whaff. She was sister to Catherine Collins (deceased), Wilbert (Wil) Whaff III, Carolyn Rodgers, and Nathan Whaff.
Later in life, she would attend Delaware State University, where she met the love of her life Arthur Drummond Sr. They married December 26, 1981 and there union would bring forth Alisha (Keri) and Arthur Jr. (Latasha), in addition to Marvin (Latoya), Abdula, and Latonya.
Angel shared her light and love in many places during her time on this earth. She begin working at the early age of 12 at Tuffy's Seafood, the Navy Exchange, Assistant Manager for Fairwinds Credit Union, and finally Walmart in 2013,where she left to care for her Mother. Angel loved to spend time with family, friends[always making plans], travel[26 cruises], painting, fishing, and watching HGTV[always looking for ways to change her home , even while in the Hospital]. She was a LOVER OF LIFE, THE LORD AND FAMILY. She always said " I put my burdens on no one but the LORD." She faithfully served the Lord at Calvary Temple of Praise under Pastor Paul P. Wright and Ministry for over 25 years.
Angel is predeceased by her father, mother, and sister Catherine. She is survived by her Husband Arthur Sr., children, grandchildren and siblings Wilbert III, Carolyn, Nathan, and a host of nieces and nephews. Three Special Nephews Antwine Duffy[Catina]Tryrone Freeman[Lucretia]and Qvon Fayson[Kendra] whom she shared the same birthday with; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The visitation will be from 4pm to 6 pm on Saturday 21 January, 2023 at her home church, Calvary Temple of Praise, 2020 McCracken Road, Sanford, Florida 32771. Her homegoing service will be 2 pm, Sunday 22 January 2023 at the same church and will be officiated by Pastor Paul P. Wright.
Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
Message from her Husband and children: Dear God, we gratefully thank you for giving us a daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, and friend. You trully loved us as you gave the best you had. Watch over her and bless her Lord. Forever keep her in your care until we see each other again. May she feel our love for her each and every day as we keep her forever in our hearts. This is our humble, heartfelt prayer. In your name. Amen.
