Andrew Anthony Woods, 73, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2023, in Mackinac City, Michigan. Born on May 5th, 1950, Andrew was the son of Edna and Rodney Woods, both engineers who instilled in him a love for mechanics. Andrew dedicated his life to helping others and was known for his generosity and kind-hearted nature.

After serving in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1972, Andrew returned to civilian life and opened his own mechanic shop in 1974. He was a skilled mechanic who took pride in his work and served his community until his well-deserved retirement in 2013. Andrew had a passion for fishing and woodworking, which he enjoyed during his free time.

Andrew will be deeply missed by his loving son, Paul, of Saginaw, and his daughter, Emily, also of Saginaw. He was a proud grandfather to Mackenzie of Hemlock, Cassandra and Anthony of Kent City. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Rodney, and his mother, Edna.

A small, private service for immediate friends and family will be held on Saturday, December 9th, to honor Andrew's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Andrew's memory.
