Amy Bennett Edwards passed away on August 18, 2023 at her home and surrounded by family. She was 51 years old. She died after a courageous battle with cancer.She was born on March 27, 1972 in Slidell, LA and was 51 years old. She attended Slidell High School and Delgado Community College and relocated to Madisonville, LA in 2001. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Brady Edwards. They had a brief residency in Slidell and in Kansas City before making Madisonville, LA their home. She is also survived by her children Collin Edwards and Riley Edwards, her parents Melvin Bennett and Mary Bennett, her siblings Emily Bennett (Felix) and Joseph Edwards, her nephews Mason and Abby Cook ,and Dylon Cook and niece Madison Cook. She is proceeded in death by Lynn Monroe and survived by Bob and Debbie Monroe, Jason and Carissa Monroe (Sydney, Max) Matthew and Kelly Monroe(Katherine, Molly, Mathew, Mary Jane.) She is survived by countless Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.Amy served her entire career as a business and commercial banker. She served her community by being former Chairman of the Board for Leadership St. Tammany and the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce as well as volunteering for countless other nonprofit organizations. She also served St. Tammany Parish as a Notary Public since 1994. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington LA. Amy loved her family and friends and was happiest when surrounded by them. She enjoyed countless hours at her children’s soccer and volleyball games .There will be a memorial service held at Honaker Funeral Home located at 1751 Gause Blvd W Slidell, LA 70460 on August 28, 2023 visitation 9-11am with services beginning at 11 am. A burial will begin at 12:30 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located at 34888 Grantham College Dr. Slidell, LA 70460.
