AMBER BRYANT
Aug. 15, 1972 - Oct. 4, 2010
Amber Bryant, 38, of Imperial passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010. She was born on August 15, 1972 in El Centro, the daughter of Carolyn and Jerry Bryant. She grew up in El Centro, graduating from Central Union High School in 1990. Just recently, Amber enjoyed a wonderful 20th high school reunion with all her old classmates. She graduated in 1994 from San Diego State University with a BA in Liberal Studies. Amber is survived by the "love of her life" her ten year old son Preston Veliquette. Preston was Amber's pride and joy and he will always be surrounded by his mother's eternal light. She is also survived by her parents, her sister, Trinette and brother-in-law Ricky Radasa of Las Cruces, New Mexico; brother, David Bryant of Alabama; nephews, Joshua Bryant and his son Brendan, Ricky Radasa, Jr. and his wife Stephanie, Andrew Radasa; aunt, Elaine Stamper, and cousins Kenny, Brady, and Corey Stiles. She was preceded in death by her precious nephew, Joseph Patrick Nash in 1992. Amber worked for the El Centro School District as an elementary school teacher at Sunflower Elementary School for 14 years. While at Sunflower, she was known as an outstanding, well-respected teacher by staff, parents, and students. She had taught students at Second, Fifth and Sixth Grade levels. Amber was a caring, loving, passionate teacher that left a lasting impression on every life she touched. Family and friends will always remember Amber for her stylish hair, long nails, high-heeled shoes, her contagious laughter, and her never ending love for her pets, Rosie, Jackson, Choco, Roxy, and Brodie. Her leisure moments were often spent riding around in the desert in her Dad's "G Ride", vacationing with her family and friends at Campland in San Diego, and enjoying Shrine Week with Preston at Mt. Laguna Mountains. She was, and will always be, a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to us all. A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 12th at Imperial Valley Expo, Casa de Mañana Building, Imperial between 6-9 p.m. A celebration of Amber's life will be at 10am Wednesday, October 13th, officiated by Pastor Walter Colace. It will be held at the same location. Burial services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro. Immediately following, a reception will be held back at the Casa de Mañana Building. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Amber Bryant Memorial Fund to provide for Prestion's education. The fund is in care of Wells Fargo Bank, El Centro.
