MIDLAND, TX - Alice Viola Rosentreter, 86 of Midland, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016. The family will be accepting guests from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Midland. Funeral services will be at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Alice was born on January 16, 1930 in Shive, TX; to Sophie and Rudolph Wagner. In high school she attended Evant High School in Evant, Texas and was Salutatorian of her graduating class. After graduation, she married the "love of her life-Wilburn" and had two children-Don and Beverly. Alice & Wilburn were both hard-working parents and a great Christian influence, encouragement, prayer intercessors and sacrificial supporters of their childrens' education. Don became an L.C.M.S. evangelistic missionary & pastor. Beverly became a Lutheran parochial school teacher until her retirement. Alice continued her college education at Midland College and was a bookkeeper for Sinclair & ARCO in Midland, TX until her retirement. As a firm and faithful believer in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, she was a model mother, loving and faithful wife, grandmother and excellent teacher. She had a loving, servant's heart. She loved to witness for her Lord Jesus and share His love with all people. She had a passionate missions heart and was a pioneer "Can DO" missions teacher & supporter in Odessa. She especially loved teaching children in Sunday School for 44 years, most of those as a "labor of love" serving at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Odessa, Texas. Miss Alice was a super-organic green gardener, rain harvester, exceptional seamstress, great fisherman, and better yet-"fisher of men" for Jesus. She was a Proverbs 31 woman and used her many God-given talents & abilities to help support the Gospel & Great Commission both at home and overseas. She loved to help feed and clothe the homeless and anyone in need that she could. One of the joys of her life was to be a strong supporter and servant for the women of Teen Challenge in Midland. Alice is now home with her Lord in heaven resting from all her earthly labors. She was well-prepared for her heavenly home-going and passed away peacefully in her sleep. She now looks forward to that eternal reunion with her family, friends, and all those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord. To God Be the Glory! She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Rosentreter; son Pastor Don Rosentreter; and daughter, Beverly Dianne Pfalzgraff grand-daughters Amy O'Connor, Abby Pfalzgraff, and grandson-Aaron Pfalzgraff, and great grandchildren-Luke and Mackenzie O'Connor. She is preceded in death by her parents Rudolf and Sophie Wagner; brother-Harvey Wagner, sisters-Ruby Pate and Wanda Huthcherson.
