Alice FoxWinter ParkAlice Fox died peacefully in Winter Park, Florida on 12/10/2016 at the age of 85.Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fox, who passed away in 2000. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Joan Barris. Alice is survived by her five children: Penny Brooke of Dadeville, Alabama, Ed Fox of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Joel Fox of Winter Park, Florida, Patti and John Engebretsen of Great Falls, Montana and Pam Schenkel of Winter Park, Florida.Alice is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Bryant and nephew, Ronnie Rummage. Alice is also survived by her brother in-law, Roy Barris and nieces Denise Barris and Deby Lemke.Alice is also survived by 18 grandchildren: Debra Price, Eric Harrell, Jennifer Roe, Ian Pierson, Ryan Fox, Shanda Fox-Ziacoma, Adam Fox, Amy Aina, April Richardson, Robert Tottenham, Tanna Clews, Liz Dentler, Dain Engebretsen, Tait Engebretsen, Luke Engebretsen, Jed Engebretsen, Linda Cockburn and Sean Schenkel.Alice is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.Alice was born on January 18, 1931 in Franklin, Tennessee to Evelyn and Edward Fox. She married William (Bill) Adams Fox, her high school sweetheart on July 26, 1949. They moved to Florida in 1952 where Bill was employed as an electrician at Cape Canaveral. They moved to Brevard County in 1957. A small group of people met in their home to study the bible and worship together. That small group later grew into the Cocoa Beach Church of Christ. Alice and Bill then built their dream home on the bay in Cocoa Beach and created and ran Foxbilt Electric for many years.In 1975, Alice moved to and operated Silver Sands Motel until she retired in 2000. She worked closely with Wego Ministries and Glory Mansions. Alice was well known and loved throughout Cocoa Beach until she left in 2013 to live with her oldest daughter.A funeral is scheduled for Alice Fox at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 101 N. Brevard Avenue, Cocoa Beach at 3:00pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, with a viewing at 2:00pm. Pastor Hamilton Diggs will officiate the ceremony.
