Alfred H. ZywickiAGE: 81 • Freehold TownshipAlfred H. Zywicki, 81, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2017 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Al was born on July 15, 1935 in Bayonne to Frank and Jadwiga (nee Zalon) Zywicki. He graduated from St. Peter's Prep High School, Jersey City in 1953 and St. Peter's College in 1957. He married Maureen Anne O'Neill of Bayonne on April 4, 1959 and spent 47 wonderful years as her beloved husband, living first in Bayonne, moving his family to Manalapan, and finally retiring to Freehold Township. Al worked for Esso, NYC and later Exxon, Florham Park as a systems analyst until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Al was a devoted Catholic and former parishioner of St Thomas More and St Robert Bellarmine parishes. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and most of all, spending time with his family.He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen; sister, Helen McCaffrey; and brother, Edward Zywicki. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in law: Ellen Mittler and her husband, Jeff of Gaithersburg, MD, Suzanne Zywicki of NYC, NY, Carol Wiltshire and her husband, Todd of Canton, MA, Patricia DiFilippo and her husband, John of Essex Fells, and Nancy Witt and her husband, Joseph of Freehold; his grandchildren: Daniel Mittler, Kevin Mittler, Elizabeth Wiltshire, Michelle DiFilippo and her husband, Paul Schmolze, Joseph DiFilippo, Alessandra DiFilippo, Julianna Witt, and Jennifer Witt and; a brother, Eugene Zywicki of Mantua, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Patricia Kubinkski.Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18, 2017 for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
