Albert Turner, born on May 11, 1940, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He was the beloved son of Titus and Mary Turner and was married to his loving wife Jean for 62 years. They were blessed with three children: Trena (Calvin), John (Susanne), and Wanda (Douglas). Albert also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren.
Albert was a dedicated and passionate servant of his community. He devoted 33 years of his life to the U.S. Postal Service, where he served as a diligent supervisor. His strong sense of duty and loyal commitment were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
His faith was central to his life, as evidenced by his active involvement in the Usher Board and Men's Choir at Providence Baptist Church, where he had been a member since childhood. He retired from his career in 2012, but continued to serve his church and community with unwavering dedication.
Albert had many hobbies and interests throughout his life. He attended Luther Judson Price High School, where he proudly served as a debutante escort and was a member of the school band. He went on to Morris Brown College, where he excelled academically, consistently making the Dean's list. He was also a member of the renowned Marching Wolverines, playing the baritone with skill and passion.
Albert remained actively involved in both the alumni chapters of Price High School and Morris Brown College until his passing. His legacy of service, commitment, and faith will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
