Beloved Faye Shaw, born on Valentine's Day in 1924 in Okmulgee OK. She was the daughter of Moses and Atlanta, and the loving wife of Charles, whom she married in 1949. Faye moved at the age of 16 with her siblings to Denver CO, after the death of her father, after several years she chose to follow her oldest sister Florence to Los Angeles, California.
Not long after arriving in Los Angeles she was introduced to Charles Shaw (Poppy), a first cousin of Florence's husband Victor. The rest is history.
Faye attended and graduated from Manual Training High School, later pursued a career as a seamstress, where she showcased her talent and passion for sewing. In her free time, she enjoyed creating beautiful garments and sharing her skills with her loved ones. Faye and her sister Florence were both skilled seamstresses by trade. They both were known for keeping their families well dressed. In 1970 they teamed up and opened "Florence and Faye's Dress Shop", they were open and successful for 5 years.
Faye ended a short retirement returning work force, where she joined the Aerospace industry working for Northrop Grumman. After 10 years Faye retired permanently. But her work was not done! Faye was an active member at Grant A.M.E Church, where she sang in the choir, and served as a missionary. Faye loved the Lord and could always be heard shouting his name from the roof top. Faye also wore several hats in her neighborhood block club, where she made lifelong friendships.
After retiring Faye spent her life as a devoted wife and homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her Grand Children, Londi, Rahn, Lena, Jai, Chaz, TJ, Dayna, Jorden and Dru. In her free time Faye also liked to frequent the casino, and enjoyed dining out at sizzlers, always ordering the salad bar.
Faye was a loving and supportive mother to her five children: Patricia (spouse Thomas), Charles Jr. (spouse Roslyn), Rhonald (spouse Victoria), Rhonda, and Anthony (spouse Jai). She was also a cherished grandmother to her ten grandchildren, as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
Despite her passing, Faye will always be remembered for her kind heart, exceptional sewing abilities, and the love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Albennie Faye Shaw went on to be with the LORD on Sunday, February 1, 2026, surrounded by family.
